Update from Administrator – July 16, 2020

July 16, 2020

Dear Families,

Our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.

Please remember that the outdoor visits must be pre-scheduled to ensure a safe and healthy visit for you, the residents, and our staff.  It also allows our team to ensure your loved one is available and ready for your visit to make the most of your time together. These visits require appropriate PPE (masks) to be worn at all times and a social distance of 6 feet between you and your loved ones for the entirety of the visit. The specific guidelines and details regarding perimeter visits can be found on our website and Facebook page. If these restrictions pose issues for you please keep in mind that we continue to offer other visitation alternatives like Facetime, and window visits. You can schedule a visit by calling the Recreation department at 203-438-8226. Ext. 7047.

At present, all our residents are negative for the virus.   We conducted another round of testing for our residents on 7/14/20 and waiting for the results.  Based on last week’s employee’s testing, three employees tested positive.  They are out on quarantine for 14 days.  Today, we are doing another round of testing for our employees and we shall notify you as we get the results. Some of our families have inquired about increasing time outdoors, so we are actively trying to get residents out of their rooms while maintaining the appropriate safety measures.

As a reminder, our next “Town Hall” meeting is scheduled for today at 3:00pm. We encourage any residents and family members to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about the care we are offering. Our commitment is to be as transparent as possible and work to address any issues that arise.

Sincerely,

Sobha Lamontagne
