Update from Administrator – November 19, 2020

Dear Families,
We hope this email finds you safe and healthy. We continue to test our staff weekly required by DPH As you know many of the nursing homes in Connecticut are affected by COVID -19. Sadly, several of our residents and staff members are affected by this virus. The positive residents are quarantined in a separate unit, while two of the initial positive residents have since recovered. Our staff follows appropriate infection control protocol to assure the safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff.
All indoor visits are on hold until we receive further guidance from DPH. Indoor end of life visits are permitted and compassionate care visits during an outbreak will be looked at on a case by case basis.
Outdoor patio visits may continue as long as the weather permits. Other visits such as window and virtual visits may be continued to ensure you and your loved one remain in contact, as best as you can during this very uncertain time.
Our “Town Hall” call is scheduled for Thursday 11/19/20 at 3:00pm.
