Update from Administrator – November 11, 2020

November 11, 2020
Dear Families,
As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.
We continue testing our staff and residents weekly as required by CMS, CDC and DPH.
Last week, more than 50 nursing homes across the state reported staff and/or new resident cases of COVID-19 in their centers. Unfortunately, we also have six residents and staff with the virus in the building. The residents are quarantined in a separate wing at this time, while the staff are quarantined at home. We are doing the best we can to protect everyone by following the proper infection control protocol.
Indoor Visits
• All indoor visits are on hold until further notice except Hospice and Compassionate care visits.
Outside & “Alternative” Visits
• Please know that outside and “alternative” visitations will continue. We will work to continue to do outside visits on our patio for as long as possible and window visits are still possible.
• Remember that we do offer iPads for our residents to use for video visits, phone calls, etc. to ensure that you and your loved ones remain in contact, as best as you can during these very uncertain times.
Our next “Town Hall” call is on Thursday 11/12/20 at 3:00pm.
As always, please stay safe and healthy!
